One-Layer FISH Flip Card-Tutorial

Hello Everyone!

I’m here, today to share with you a one-layer, flip card.  My card was created on one piece of paper and die cut off the edge.

Now, as most of you know,  I’m  relatively  new to card making and while I’m  still learning, I have to say I appreciate many other crafters videos to get me started on this new journey.

One of those, is from Jennifer Mcquire.  For me, her videos are mini-class lessons.   So,  this week, I learned something new-off the edge die curing and this technique is Awesome!

Here’s a few photos of my cards, using this technique.:

[Please, click on photos for Larger view]

I started out, using neenah 80#card stock and used Hero arts stamp set, matching dies and mini ink pads.

First, I stamped the gold fish on top,  then the one at the bottom.

Since, I was making multiple cards, I used my MISTI tool- this thing is Great, can’t say enough good things about it.

After I thought my card was finished,  it looked a little empty, so I added the fish to the left and it appears that he is hiding behind the seaweed.

Then, I placed my matching die on the fish and just cut half way, with my big shot…this way my gold fish pops off the edge!   Love this and you will see me make moder cards with this technique!

My goal here, was to keep everything Simple, no frills and gills [punt intended…lol]!  Just the ‘no frills’ part was a challenge for me, but I Love these fish!

I’m super happy the way my cards turned out and you will see me make more cards with this technique!

Thank you for stopping by!  I’d love to hear from you!  Please, feel free to leave me a comment below 🙂

Hugs and Blessings,
