Guest Designing for Where Creativity Meets C9 [Concord & 9th]!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I’m honored to be guest designing for Where Creativity Meets C9 this month!

Today, starts a new challenge and the theme is “Ink Only”.

When I saw Concord & 9th’s Pineapple Perfect Stamp set and dies, I was immediately in love and knew I had to use them with some new-to-me INKing techniques.

I used my distress inks and distress sprayer to create the foliage and flowers of the pineapple and a die cut out to create my cloud background.  As we go along, I will describe each card and whcat techniques I used to get there!  They are ALL quite Easy and Fast and of course so FUN to use Concord & 9th’s stamps and dies.

My Card Set:  “Fabulous Pineapple Floral”

In this card above, I started out with Bristol paper and my stamp positioning tool.   First, using my anti-static tool, then embossed the pineapple.  Then, I inked up each coordinating stamp [flower, leaves, berries…] with distress inks.  For the foliage I used Lucky clover and blended twisted citron. Spray with water and swoosh onto the paper.  I love that it looks like water color painted.

I used the same techniques and inks for the following cards except different papers and colors of embossing powder.

This card, I used NeeNah 80# card stock and made little crackle effect, when applying ink.

This card was hand painted with the same distress inks, for another effect.

And this card, was created using the stamps from the stamp set, inking them up in different colors of distress ink, spraying with water and stamping it onto the paper.

All the pineapples were then die cut out, adhered to my cloud background with foam adhesive.  Then, I adhered each sentiment with foam adhesive.  Each card sentiment coordinates  with the  same embossing powder for a more finished look.

Thank you, Where Creativity Meets C9 for having me 🙂

Remember to buzz on over to Where Creativitiy Meets C9 and enter your Ink Only project!
