I’m so excited to share my First Carta Bella design team project with you! [Jumps up and down with joy]!
I used CARTA BELLA’s Rough & Tumble Collection to create my card and so happy the way it turned out!
So, be a Doll and Read on…….Tutorial Ahead and Giveaway coming up, too!
Carta Bella‘s paper collections are outstanding quality and fun. I love to work with their Textured cardstocks and fun embellishments.
For this cardbase, first I used one of the 12×12 pieces and cut the shape I made with my Silhouette Cameo.
I measured an 11×4.5″ rectangle, drew up a .5″ circle [duplicate 4 of these and set aside] to cut the edges [make sure to center your sites] and select the rectangle and the circle then, click on modify> subtract. Then, I chose a dashed line and drew in the center of the card.
Ok, then I trimmed one of the Carta Bella’s papers from Rough & Tumble to measure 2.5×5.5″, adhere onto the base. The Stripe measures .5×5.5″.
Then, get ready for some messy fun!
Mix white acrylic paint and a bit of water. With a paint brush [I used a long handled brush] place your paper over a trash basket and point the loaded brush and tap the brush and the paint will splat out onto the paper creating a super cool effect as shown in this photo! By the way–this is highly addicting! Splat on! lol
For the red embossed piece first I cut it on my Silhouette Cameo and just used a scalloped edge svg, I found in the Silhouette store.
I embossed with Darcie’s star embossing folder and adhered it to my card.
Then, I adhered one of the Rough & Tumble cards included in the kit and decorated with 3d stickers and buttons which are available embellishments to Rough & Tumble. It’s really that EASY!
